Ettore window cleaning blades are worth their weight in gold when it comes to getting off hard water stains and which are common to find when window cleaning your windows in Utah.
I would say the that knowing of these blades and how to use them correctly is the biggest difference that a professional window cleaner will bring to the table. These blades are not cheap by any means, they come in a pack of 10 and usually run from $10 to $14 depending. That is over $1 per blade.
Now most people are very happy to find out that these blades are reversible which is super nice because that means you can get that much more use out of them. What most people don’t know is that actually because of the razor sharp edges that these blades have, you can actually get some extra use by not only turning the blade upside down but just by turning the blade over to where you are essentially using four surfaces and getting more use out of your window cleaning blades. I hope that was helpful for someone out there. I know I was sure glad when I heard about it. Best of luck out there!
After passing about 3 signs that said “Snow Chains or 4-Wheel drive required” I was starting to get a little nervous. This was up past Sundance, classic Utah Window Cleaning.
Growing up, I was taught by my mom to clean windows. A little bit of windex and a paper towel, and that was it. In college I tried using newspaper instead of paper towels because paper towels were a luxury item. I felt that my windows were clean, but I never tried to clean them on the outsides. Before I became a part of Cascade Window cleaning, I had never even thought that there were people out there professionally trained that cleaned windows. I had always lived in apartments where the windows were never really mine, and never really clean. After joining the Cascade Window cleaning crew, I was introduced to a whole new idea, at least new to me, that there were special tools and tricks to getting the windows so clean that you hardly notice they are there. It never really dawned on me how people with high windows somehow had their windows cleaned. Working with Cascade Window cleaning has given me a sharper eye to detail and an appreciation of clean windows. Even now looking out my office window, I notice my windows could be a lot cleaner and am tempted to get out there and do it myself. One thing that I learned about cleaning windows that I think has the most value is that windows are porous and can stain if you don’t get rid of hard water or other harmful substances. Someday when I own my own home and windows, I can rest easy knowing that I have the tools and knowledge to get and keep my windows sparkling clean.
